It embodies both
tranquility and dynamism.
Reflecting myself in a Japanese sword. I face myself.
Your mind becomes clear and transparent.
The mind and body move flexibly.
The aftermath of a technique. The beauty of zanshin.

in this extraordinary moment in your daily life.

Know Toyama-ryu Bizen-kai
“Iai” is an ancient martial art from Japan’s Warring States period. The latest and final evolution, Toyama-ryu Iaido, was refined at the former Imperial Army’s Toyama Academy to emphasize practicality. It harmoniously blends Japan’s traditional serene mindset with dynamic movements focused on real combat. The essence of Iai lies in performing a series of actions where stillness and motion become one.
